today was a long day. tis will b a long entry frm long-winded me.
morning was a hot day. the weather these few days is damn hot. even sitting still will sweat (or is it jus mi). anyway, wen ntuc again, driving my bro's car with mum and sis tagging along again.
recently, singapore pools released the scratch-it card again. spent $15 on the cards (1 for $1). but onli manage to get back $3. so sad! maybe my sis luck is not gd (she did the scratching)
as usual bought quite a lot of things today. as mum is paying the stuff, i wen to top-up my cash-card as bro is coming back tis sat, so will be driving to changi. (parking fee)
afternoon mting bro zs for lunch. he suggest to go tis indonesian restaurant at lucky plaza. he said the chili is very powerful. the chili i take really make mi sweat. used around 10+ pieces of tissue paper. (thank god the shop provides the tissue) the chili i find is still manageable for mi, but not for zs, as he is struggling to conquer it. i find the drink rather unique, orange with coconut. very interesting taste.
after the lunch, wen ovr to hmv. saw a akkido demonstration outside heeren. but we jus walk pass as we nid the air-con. i make my way to hmv, listening to albums. nothing much interests mi except jazz. so wen lvl by lvl to the jazz dept. bought a couple of albums, diane reeves (jazz) and al jarreau (love songs). got 2 stamps on the card from hmv. (25 stamps will be able to exchange for 1 CD, think it will take some time) aft the hmv, wen to the 4th lvl, as zs is looking for a arm pouch for his mp3 player for his upcoming run in june. didn't manage to find it, so we make our way to the next destination.
it is a long walk from heeren to arab st, as zs said that somewhr near arab st, there is a nice prata restaurant. so we started our walk ovr thr. along the way, zs said that somewhr near waterloo st, there is a bar. we manage to find it, my secret garden. maybe next time can try it. soon, we reached bugis, decide to walk in to parco, to enjoy some of the air-con. (i'm sweating alot by now) thereafter, we walk ard 15mins and reached the next location, the prata restaurant (zam zam if i'm not wrong). we ordered 2 mutton murtabak, 1 for each. zs introduce mi to 1 of the puzzle game. quite interesting as it involves some thinking (abit similar to sudoku, but more challenging). 10x10 square are still manageable, but come to 15x15, its tougher as it involves zooming here and there. i give up aft playing the 2nd puzzle of 15x15.
we plan to take a bus, walking towards the bus-stop, we came across a toy shop, so pop-in to see what they have. they sell car models, so was trying to find my bro's car model, but in vain. anyway, the shop is planning to close as not much customer around. so left the shop and waited for the bus to vivocity. vivocity is where we watching ironman. tiks compliment frm zs company. thanks for the tiks bro.
wen ard window shopping as we are still early for the movie. looked at some new phones from samsung, the camera are better than mine (K800i) with 5megapixel & 3x optical zoom. sounds interesting. but i dun intend to change phone yet. (still waiting for iphone official release)
time flies and we proceed our way to the cinema. iron man was cool, describing on how the actual red-yellow steel man comes about. i love stories that describe how things are made with the initial ideas. i'll give 8/10. 2 missing points for not show-casting war-machine and the villian mandrake (a guy who wears 10 rings. sounds like me. haha)
aft the movie, zs nids to do some work there. so i wen window shop on my own. saw a shoe in adidas, looks nice. maybe can buy it when payday comes. later received a call frm zs, saying he got locked up in his company's data centre. i figured my way there, find their security person to help. luckily they manage to get him out aft stuck for ard 15-20mins, or else he gotta spend the nite in his ofc.
then we took a train back. on the way, still discussing on the game that we have been playing, Granado Espada. (details i'll not go indepth or else will bore the blog readers)
anyway, on the way back home, boss calls mi. as there was some power failure in the data centre, my colleague wen down to hav a look. luckily i nvr wen down, as my boss said they left ard 10+. or else i'll not be able to watch the movie. my boss thinking i'm ard tmr ask mi to go ofc earlier jus in case there is some issue. then i told him dat i'm on leave. then he jus realise. so he call my other colleague for assistance instead.
last fri, my colleague wanted mi to cancel my leave, then i told her i nid the leave and i can still work but i jus dun wan to stay in ofc. cos been feeling not so good for past few wks. so i nid the leave to take a short break.
