today is the last day in Macau. woke up in the morning & had breakfast. after breakfast, we wen back to hotel to pack our stuff & prepare to check-out. once we checked-out, we left our luggage with the hotel & made our way to the last destination, Venetian.
the interior of Venetian is very unique, with the ceilings like a blue sky & a small canal inside. there are boats inside & the boatmen are singing inside. though i dun understand, but i find it nice. very interesting to see such kind of shopping centre. took some video of them singing. JC found the shop that she wanted to visit. ZS was with her oso, while i wen ard to check out the shops there. majority of them are the branded goods shops. found some shops that sell food. so i wen to bought them, since i did not spend much off my $$$.
aft lunching there, we head back to hotel to collect our luggage & left for airport 2 check-in. @ the airport, we bought some food to munch, the famous Portuguese egg tarts. indeed different & delicious. after dat was boarding to the plane. on the flight back, i took photos of the skies again, but this time round with the sun up & gng to set & even night. on the flight there's turbulence which is like roller-coaster ride. but still we reach back sg safe & sound. bid farewell to JC aft buying liquor @ DFS. sent ZS back as bro was driving me back accompanied with mum.
overall, i find the trip is short but i enjoyed the weather & the buildings. hope for my next trip soon, which shld be nxt yr. ok signed off.
woke up in the morning for breakfast in the hotel. it was buffet style so took the food dat i like. i think its the culture of the people living there. they took lotsa oranges for breakfast. aft breakfast, we make our way to Ruins of St Paul's, the place that I wanted to go. the weather dat day was humid & sometimes windy. we took a bus there, but b4 gng to Ruins of St Paul's, we visited a building that features art paintings of the famous buildings like St Paul etc, & also the painting of how the building has evolved over the past centuries.
after dat we make our way to Ruins of St Paul's. as it is a famous tourist spot, lotsa tourist including us were there. along the way, we come across lotsa of students & it is REALLY lotsa, as though 1 big gang cmg. ok maybe i'm exaggerating. soon we reached Ruins of St Paul's but a pity was that my cam's batt wen dead & i left my spare batt in hotel. damn... so had 2 use my hp's cam to take photos. but overall depends on ZS cam. finally i get to take the photo of the location that i wanted to visit. i was really feeling delighted from the depth of my heart.
but it was so hot that i can feel dat i'm getting heat stroke soon. so bought a drink frm a stall nearby. bought almond cookies frm 1 of the authentic shop & we walked on. its really eat & walk & eat & walk... close to tea-break, we wen to find a IT shop building located somewhere near the red market. mi & ZS bought a thumbdrive each. mine is of a unique design while ZS bought her usual fav color drive.
after that we supposed to go to Macau Tower, but stop over @ a stationery shop. JC bought lotsa stuff there for her sis. quite amazed by the stuff she purchased. after that, we took a cab & make our way to Macau Tower. Macau Tower is of 60+ lvls, not as high as Taiwan's 101 Tower. But given the lightings illuminated from the various buildings frm afar compensated the height. JC noticed that someone was pulled up aft a sky jump. was waiting with her 2 see if any1 is jumping down but in vain. aft taking the shots, we left the tower & decided to go back to somewhere near the hotel for dinner. Macau Tower is really 鸟不生蛋. there is not much place to eat & shop. we wen out of the building & notice someone is preparing to jump down from the tower. so waited there & @ the same time enjoying the nice sea breeze. after watching the jump, we make our way back to hotel.
we had steamboat buffet for dinner. not bad for the dinner. JC wen back to hotel 1st as she's not feeling well. while me & ZS wen to fisherman's wharf to hav some drink. we had our drink @ a thai restaurant as dat is the only place for drinking. chit-chated oso & had some snacks. maybe becos of the nice sea breeze, i keep knocked out at times. so we had 2 drinks each & left the place. reach back hotel & had a shower & knock out 2 sleep.
ok finally the photos are uploaded, though not all of them. i'll start the part 1 of my Macau trip.
flight to Macau was early in the morning @ 6am. so left for airport & stayed overnight there. when we reached the budget terminal, realised dat lotsa pple were there. but still not the time for check-in. i'm was still awake @ dat time, surprisingly, whereas ZS was KO-ed, napping while waiting to check-in. ok i'll cut short on the sg portion. on the plane, both JC & ZS fell asleep, while i took some shots of the sky. though i couldn't see the sun rise, but still not bad.
soon alighted @ Macau Airport. took a cab to hotel. initially tot we r on the rite track, in the end to arrive @ the wrong hotel. made another turn to reach the rite hotel. haha all becos of JC, who mentioned of the wrong name. but its ok cos we had a short tour of Macau. check-in @ the hotel, but they are still preparing the room, so left the luggage @ the hotel.
we look for the destination on the map dat we got frm the airport & plan the route. we decided to take a walk to the place. took photos of the buildings along the way. but had to take note of the ground as there are lotsa "mine" planted. weather there was hot but windy, maybe becos of the geographical location of Macau, as it is near the seaside. this time round, my trip is more of a sight-seeing one. so there are lotsa photos of buildings. we had our lunch somewhere nearby & wen back to hotel to hav a short nap.
the next destination was to visit the dog race. but it was still early, so we walked around nearby. again photo taking session of the buildings. pop into 7/11 & found the lighter frm marlboro very unique. the price of it i can afford it. but i dun smoke cos in order to get the lighter, i nid 2 purchase 2 packs of marlboro cigarettes. haiz... wat to do... i jus haf to give up on it.
soon it was time for the dog race, so wen in to chk it out. to our surprise, there was not much spectators. maybe becos there is live telecast of the race on TV. we watched 2 rounds of the race & took a video of it. left the place & went to Sands for dinner. it was the buffer dinner dat ZS wanted to go.
as the buffet is located within the casino, so hav to pass-by the security checks. lotsa pple were inside of the casino. we wen up to the restaurant for the buffet dinner. we were served a very big prawn cooked with butter. tasted really yummy. the dessert that was served was of bird nest, red dates, white fungus etc. its really good cos its good for the body. i taken it as my only dessert cos i dun take dessert often. the food is really fresh, but too bad i dun take dessert cos there is lotsa of dessert there. after the dinner, we walk around in the casino. both JC & ZS played in the casino, while i jus take a look. aft dat took a shuttle to Venetian, our destination for the 3rd day. aft dat we walk back to the hotel & dats the end of 1st day.
